1Peter 3:4 Instead of that, it should be a new nature within--the imperishable ornament of a gentle and peaceful spirit, which is indeed precious in the sight of God.

A gentle and peaceful spirit doesn't do a lot of worrying, telling others about our worries, or getting ourselves worked up about a problem. Our trials belong to the Lord. Our lives belong to the Lord. If we've given ourselves up to Him, then anything that happens to us, whether pleasant or unpleasant, we can peacefully accept, knowing everything is in God's control. That's not to say that we just sit back and never try to fix a problem, but if the problem is such that it cannot be humanly fixed then that's the time to stop fighting it, recognize that God has His reasons for allowing the problem and accept it.

If you have a medical problem that can't be cured, learn to live with it and make the best of the situation. If the house is burning down, call the fire department, but if the firemen are unable to stop the fire, peacefully accept the loss and continue on with life. How we react to trials is a witness to those around us. Look at 1 Peter 2:12 and 15:

1Pe 2:12 Live honourable lives among the Gentiles, in order that, although they now speak against you as evil-doers, they may yet witness your good conduct, and may glorify God on the day of reward and retribution.

1Pe 2:15 For it is God's will that by doing what is right you should thus silence the ignorant talk of foolish persons.

Not only do the trials belong to God, but the solutions and the victories also belong to God. All our talents, possessions, achievements, everything belongs to God. He is the one who made us. He is the one who gave us the abilities to do all that we do. There is never a reason to brag about anything. It's okay to look at a job well done and be proud of it, but we should always be aware of Who is it that made it possible for us to do that job so well. The glory should always go to God. We have nothing, no abilities of our own, without God. Even being used by God is nothing to brag about. We are only used by God because He made us usable.

When we realize nothing belongs to us, that all the trials and victories belong to God, we can have a calm and peaceful spirit. As long as we are constantly communicating with Him about each situation, letting Him worry about it, and then always give Him the credit for all we accomplish, we will have no reason to spins circle in worry, or to annoy others with our bragging. Our job is to just let God shine through us so that others will be attracted to Him and want Him in their lives. We can relax and enjoy the life God has given us. Look for, and savor, each blessing or gift He sends your way.
